Bishop McNeill

Bishop McNeill, CHA Political Coordinator

Bishop McNeill is the Political Coordinator for the Center for Humanist Activism where his work focuses on achieving equality by protecting the separation of church and state and the civil liberties of secular Americans.

Bishop has been involved in politics from a very young age. He started by watching his father seek election as a County Commissioner in the Fayetteville, NC area during the early 90’s. He then got his first experience on campaigns during the 2008 Presidential Election volunteering with Obama for America. Since then, Bishop has served in many roles on campaigns including a Field Organizer, a Regional Field Director, and a Campaign Manager. Outside of politics, he has worked as a Project Coordinator and Development Director for non-profit organizations.

McNeill graduated magna cum laude from Fayetteville State University in 2011. At the same time he completed a Fellowship with the Institute of Political Leadership at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.

Bishop has been a lifelong skeptic and an outspoken atheist for the past 8 years.

Matthew Bulger

Matthew Bulger, CHA Legislative Associate

Matthew Bulger is the legislative associate at the Center for Humanist Activism, where he advocates for church-state separation and humanist values in public policy to government officials.

Bulger also serves as the editor of the AHA's quarterly membership publication Free Mind and regularly contributes to the AHA's weekly e-zine Humanist Network News.

He graduated with a B.A. in political science from American University in Washington D.C., and is the co-founder and former president of the American University Rationalists & Atheists.
